Artcation is On the Menu
On June 1st, 2024, the very first edition of Artcation was unveiled under the theme On the Menu; a bold experiment that introduced a new way of experiencing art.
Designed as the vision-builder edition, On the Menu set the foundation for what Artcation has now become: a space where art is not only seen, but also tasted, felt, and lived.
The concept paired three unique artworks with a carefully curated three-course menu by Chef Colombs. Each dish was designed to mirror and amplify the emotions within the art, creating an immersive dialogue between plate and canvas. Guests didn’t just observe art, they consumed it, one course and one brushstroke at a time.

The exhibition featured works from Joseph Abdallah, 12th the Creator, and Mosun “Mo” Mewase, whose pieces provided the visual anchors for the evening.
Among the guests were distinguished figures including Halimat Danjuma and Daniel Otabor, the visionary nation builder, who joined other art lovers and cultural enthusiasts in witnessing the beginning of something rare and original.
Hosted in partnership with Coffee & Co Lagos, the evening blended art, cuisine, and atmosphere into one seamless experience.
Artcation is On the Menu was more than an event, it was the planting of a seed. It introduced a daring vision: to strip art of exclusivity and present it in a way that resonates beyond galleries, merging creativity with culinary expression. From that night, Artcation established itself as a movement, one committed to curating moments where art lives off the wall and into human experience.
