Artcation is Monochrome
On November 3rd, 2024, the second edition of Artcation unfolded under the theme Monochrome an evening where black and white became the canvas for both taste and expression.
Hosted on the rooftop of a beach house, the event gathered an intimate circle of Wakanow Prime HNIs and select guests for a rare experience at the intersection of art and fine dining.

The culinary journey, designed by Chef Colombs, presented a full menu in black and white. Each course was not only a celebration of flavor but also a visual statement that reflected the theme’s essence, contrast, clarity, and balance.
The art exhibition featured powerful monochrome works by Joseph Abdallah, 12th the Creator, Mosun “Mo” Mewase, and Gbotemi, the curator of Artcation. Gbotemi exhibited deeply personal pieces that told the story of his mother’s life, her beginnings, her journey, and the legacy she left behind. Through stark tones and layered textures, the works captured memory, resilience, and the enduring mark of love across generations.
With the support of Wakanow and Trace Naija, Artcation is Monochrome reaffirmed the series’ purpose: to create curated experiences where art is not just displayed but lived through sight, taste, and atmosphere.
By transforming a rooftop into a space of creativity and connection, the second edition of Artcation set a new benchmark for how art can be experienced in fresh, unforgettable ways.
