ARTCATION ₦2,000,000 CREATIVE GRANT
GRANT OVERVIEW
The ARTCATION ₦2,000,000 Creative Grant is an initiative by ARTCATION to support bold, original, and culturally resonant creative projects across visual art, design, Interior Design, and interdisciplinary practices.
The grant is designed to empower emerging and mid-level creatives and creative teams by providing financial support, visibility, and accountability structures that enable projects to move from concept to execution.
This grant is awarded once per cycle to one individual or one creative team.
Grant Amount: ₦2,000,000 (Two Million Naira)
Grant Cycle: Q1 2026
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of application
- Must be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident
- Must be working within the creative industries
- Project must be original and not infringe on existing intellectual property
- Individuals or teams of 2–10 members may apply
- Teams must appoint one Lead Applicant
ARTCATION reserves the right to verify all submitted information.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Step 1: Online Application Submission
Applicants must complete the official application form available on the ARTCATION website. All sections must be filled accurately.
Step 2: Review & Shortlisting
All submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee based on the published evaluation criteria. In addition to selecting one grant recipient, up to fifty (50) outstanding applicants will be shortlisted and invited to collaborate with ARTCATION on its next major project.
Step 3: Interview / Clarification (If Required)
Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for additional documentation, interviews, or clarifications.
Step 4: Final Selection & Announcement
The selected grantee will be announced publicly on ARTCATION platforms and contacted directly.
FUND DISBURSEMENT STRUCTURE
The ₦2,000,000 grant will be disbursed in two tranches:
- Tranche 1: ₦1,200,000 upon signing of Grant Agreement
- Tranche 2: ₦800,000 upon submission and approval of a progress report
ARTCATION reserves the right to withhold funds if milestones are not met.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property remains with the creator(s). However, ARTCATION retains the right to:
- Document the project process
- Use non-commercial excerpts for promotional and archival purposes
- Credit all creators appropriately
PUBLICITY & CREDIT
All intellectual property remains with the creator(s). However, ARTCATION retains the right to:
- Document the project process
- Use non-commercial excerpts for promotional and archival purposes
- Credit all creators appropriately
TERMINATION & MISUSE
ARTCATION reserves the right to terminate the grant if:
- Funds are misused
- False information is provided
· Project deviates materially without approval
GOVERNING LAW
This grant is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
